OUR STRENGTH MUST ONLY BE IN GOD

Posted by George Soepboer Sr

God does not look for people that are strong in themselves
but God looks for people that trust God.
( Psalms 146:3-5 )( Psalms 147:10-11 )( Jeremiah 17:5-8 ).

Christians must not seek our strength anywhere else beside God,
if we seek our strength apart from God then we do not live for God.
( Psalms 91 ).

All of our needs are provided by God if we open our heart to God,
for everything is within the power of God
for everything belongs to God.
( Matthew 6:25-34 ).

However, if we look for strength anywhere else apart from God or we look for strength anywhere else alongside of God then we do not honor God. We can only honor God if we put all of our trust in God. If we do not honor God by placing all of our trust in God then we will not receive anything from God.
( Psalms 62 ).

If we look for strength within the Church of God to live for God that is not of God, for the strength we look for within the Church of God will never help us to live for God and will never bring us into fullness with God. Everyone within the Church of God also needs the strength of God to live for God. Therefore, there is no hope for us within the Church of God to find the strength to live for God. Christians can encourage each other to look to God for help by God, but we cannot give each other the strength to live for God, for that we can only receive from God.
( Jeremiah 17:5-8 ).

If we seek our strength from the Bible to live for God than we also will never find the strength to live for God or come to live in fullness with God. We must always read the Bible for it is the written word of God. However, the written word of God can hinder us from finding God and living for God if do not live by the Spirit of God, for only if we have the Spirit speaking within us of God can we live for God, for only then do we know the will of God.
( 1 John 2:26-27 ).

We also must not look for strength to live for God by talking to other Christians about God, for then we also bypass God, for then we seek our strength to live for God by debating about God. We may and must talk to other people about God. However, our debates about God do not please God if through that we seek for strength to live for God, for then we find our strength in our debating about God but we do not find our strength in God. It may look right to us but it is not of God.
( Jeremiah 17:9-10 ).

We also may not seek our strength to live for God through Christian music or songs that arouse our emotions for that is also not of God, we must live by the Spirit of God if we wish to live for God, any other way we seek to live for God is not of God.
( Romans 8:14 ).

We also must not look for strength to live for God through great gatherings of Christians that seek to stir each other’s feelings about God to live for God or to bring people closer to God, for that is also not of God. We must become still before God and trust God, for our strength must only be in God, only that is of God.
( Psalms 46:10-11 )( Isaiah 26:3-4 )
( Isaiah 30:15 )( Jeremiah 17:5-8 ).

When we seek our strength in our perfection toward God and by our good works for God and by our self-denial for God that is also not of God. The surge for perfection will never bring us to God or gain the approval of God. The surge for perfection leads us away from God not to God. Only the people who humbly seek the grace of God are welcome by God, for without the grace of God we will never be part of God.
( Ephesians 2:8-9 )

The good works we do for others in the name of God and in the name of Jesus Christ the Son of God can stir our emotions, but that is not from God, for then we live by our feelings but then we do not receive our strength from God. All of them things can make us feel good but those good feelings have nothing to do with God, they keep us away from God, for then we find our strength in them good feeling, not on God. The only one who must make us feel good is God, for then we trust in the strength of God. Abraham was a friend of God not because he done all sorts of good works for God, he was a friend of God because he loved God and trusted God.
( 2 Chronicles 20:7 )( Isaiah 41:8 )( James 2:14-23 ).

We also must not place our hope for strength in the prayers that we sent to God that also is not of God, for then we place our trust in the prayers we sent to God, not in God.
( Matthew 6:7-8 ).

We also may not isolate ourselves in communes or monasteries to seek our strength from God, for that also is not from God, for we must live among people for God to show them the way to God, that is of God.
( Matthew 5:13-16 ).

If we truly wish to live for God then we must set aside all man made efforts that we think will please God. If we wish to have things right with God then we must open our heart to God and trust God, for that is of God.
( Jeremiah 29:13 ).

We must humbly come to God and open our heart to God, and then we humbly must surrender our life to God. Then we humbly must ask God for the indwelling of the Spirit of God to help us to live for God.
( Luke 11:9-13 ).

When we come humbly before God with a willing heart and mind to do the will of God by the Spirit within us God only then do we live by the strength of God. Moreover, only if we live by the Spirit within us of God are we on our way to heaven by God, all other ways of life lead to hell, not to heaven with God.
( Romans 8:4-14 ).
