THE GREATNESS OF GOD

Posted by George Soepboer Sr

When we see this world and we look up into the heavens then we see some of the power and the greatness of God.
( Psalms 139:1-18 ).

No one can ever understand the greatness and fullness of God, for there is no end to the greatness and fullness of God. Not even eternity can capture the greatness and fullness of God, all people together are less then nothingness compared to God, therefore all of our minds together on the world cannot even begin to understand the greatness of God.
( Psalms 62:9 )( Isaiah 40:17-18 )( Daniel 4:35 ).

We see a little on this world of the creation of God, but what we see, hear, smell, taste, and handle on this world of the creation of God is so little that it does not amount to anything compared to the overwhelming power and greatness of God,
for all power comes from God,
nothing can exist without God.
( Psalms 104:24:30 ).

There is nothing on the world that takes place without the knowledge of God and everything on the world is in the control of God. Not only are all things on this world known by God and under the control of God but everything everywhere in eternity are known by God and under the control of God.
( Psalms 145:3 ).

Everywhere we look we are reminded of God, and we all know of the existing of God, for that knowledge is placed within the minds of all people by God.
( Romans 1:19-20 ).

However, we have no understanding of God, for we cannot comprehend God and the way of God.
( Job 38:4 )( Ecclesiastes 3:11 )( Ecclesiastes 8:17 )
( Isaiah 40:28 )( Isaiah 55:8-9 ).

Jesus the Son of God who is at the right hand of God does not know what is known by God.
( Matthew 20:20-23 )( Matthew 24:36 )
( Mark 13:32 )( Acts 1:6-7 ).

It is puzzling, bewildering, and confusing when we think about God, for God and the ways of God are mysterious unsearchable and unknowable.
We stand perplexed and confused when we think about God and the ways of God,
for all things are of God and through God and for God.
( Romans 11:36 )( 1 Corinthians 8:6 )( Ephesians 4:6 ).

No one is like God and no one will ever be like God.
From everlasting to everlasting is God,
for there is no beginning and end by God.
( Revelation 1:8 ).

We can never strive with God for all things belong to God.
Moreover, no one and nothing can exist without God.
( 2 Chronicles 20:6 )( Job 40:6-14 )( Isaiah 14:27 )
( Isaiah 43:13 )( Isaiah 45:7-9 )(Daniel 4:28-35 ).

However, we can and may enjoy friendship on this world with God if we open our heart to God and give our life to God and we receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God.
For then God lives within us by the Spirit of God.
( 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 )( 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 )
( 2 Corinthians 6:16-17 ).

Moreover, after this life we may and can live forever with God if on this world we have lived by the Spirit within us of God.
( Romans 8:4-14 ).
