If we wish to live in fellowship with God then we must love God and trust God. Without love for God and without trust in God we cannot live in fellowship with God. We can know all about God, and we can claim to live for God but that does not mean that we honor God, for when we claim we live for God but do not truly trust God then we belittle God. Moreover, then we anger God, for only trust in God and love for God makes us a friend of God.
( James 2:23 ).
We can talk about God, and we can say all sorts of great things about God, but that also does not prove that we trust God. Our trust in God is not only what we say about God but also how we live with God, for we can teach and preach about God without living in fellowship with God and without honoring God. It is not the teaching and preaching we do about God that honors God, but if we love and trust God that honors God.

Our life can be full of religion without trusting and loving God. We can also send up many prayers to God without trusting and loving God. We can also say we trust God without true faith in God.
